Philly Shipyard Delivers Second National Security Multi-Mission Vessel (NSMV), Patriot State

Philly Shipyard, Inc, the sole operating subsidiary of Philly Shipyard ASA (Oslo: PHLY), today delivered the Patriot State, the second of five new purpose-built, state-of-the-art training vessels for America’s state maritime academies. The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration (MARAD) new vessel program – known as National Security Multi-Mission Vessels (NSMVs) – was designed to provide world-class training for America’s future mariners and to support humanitarian assistance and disaster relief missions in times of need. This second vessel, Patriot State, is being delivered to MARAD and will serve Massachusetts Maritime Academy.

Hanwha to Acquire Philly Shipyard

Philly Shipyard ASA has entered into a share purchase agreement with both Hanwha Systems and Hanwha Ocean (together “Hanwha”), for the purchase of Philly Shipyard, Inc. (“PSI”), the sole operating subsidiary of PHLY (the “Transaction”). The Transaction will result in the Company selling all of its business against receiving a cash consideration of USD 100 million.

National Security Multi-Mission Vessel (NSMV) Program Achieves Milestone with Steel Cutting of Fifth Ship

TOTE Services, LLC, (TOTE Services), Philly Shipyard, Inc., (Philly Shipyard) and California State University Maritime Academy (Cal Maritime) today celebrated the cutting of steel for the fifth National Security Multi-Mission Vessel (NSMV) destined for Cal Maritime in Vallejo, California. This ceremonial event signifies the start of construction for the vessel and occurred at Philly Shipyard’s plasma cutting machine as the button was pressed to start the plasma steel cutting process.
