Overview
We know that our stakeholders have increasingly high expectations for the marine transportation sector, including shipyards.
Philly Shipyard is committed to operating sustainably and responsibly. Our CORE Values describe our commitment to working safely, acting as environmental stewards, creating an inclusive work environment, and ensuring our communities succeed.
In developing our program for sustainability and environment, social, governance (ESG), we mapped our operations to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and conducted a stakeholder analysis and materiality analysis.
Based on these insights, we identified a number of material topics where we can focus our actions, as well as ways we can directly contribute to a more sustainable world.
Building with Passion, Navigating with Purpose
In 2024, Philly Shipyard published its first-ever Sustainability Report, which describes the company’s commitment to responsible environmental, social and governance practices.
The report features achievements from 2023 including our strides to be environmental stewards and showcasing the people who make us One Shipyard.
At Philly Shipyard, we recognize that sustainability as an ongoing journey — and it’s one that we are navigating with a deep sense of passion and purpose.
